Peter Fidler in Western Canada 1789-1822 (In Research and Development Stage)
Dimensions: 00 x 00 cm (00 x 00 in) ISBN xxx-x-xxxxxx-x-x

Born in Bolsover England, Peter Fidler spent 33 years in the service of the Hudson Bay Company throughout western Canada. A student of Philip Turnor, Fidler would eventually take over as chief surveyor for the company after the departure of Turnor from Canada. Second only to David Thompson in distance travelled, Fidler is considered one of Canada's great surveyors and like Thompson left behind a remarkable treasure trove of field journals, diaries, and maps outlining a way of life that no longer exists.

Arcturus Consulting is proud to distribute yet another thematic map researched and designed by Andy Korsos outlining the exploration and travels of one more gifted Canadian explorer. This thematic map contains a 3D landscape to display the varied terrain that Fidler traveled over along with the trading posts and locations that he visited. Within the maps are the routes that Fidler traveled throughout his career in western Canada. This Thematic map not only displays the routes he traveled but also describes them in an easy manner so that one can easily follow his journeys down each route. The overall map is the most comprehensive visual description of Peter Fidler's movements in western Canada ever completed.

This map is very well-suited for classrooms, libraries, museum shops, and other professional organizations or as a complimentary addition to any map hobbyist’s private collection.
